Collaboration Opportunity

Serviette is looking for creative design practice to partner with for a one day presentation and instillation at an international design expo in April, 2024. The project will present perspectives on food as a force for good in the word, and possible futures of the materials, rituals and attitudes surrounding food. Through provocative inquiry, the work should aim to push viewers to explore what can be achieved via the medium of food. Opportunities for interactivity and tasting are required.

Additionally, as the expo will coincide with the release of the Spring 2024 issue of Serviette, the instillation should align with the provisional theme for that issue, Food is Absurd. Here, absurd is meant to evoke the contradictory, ineffable, or sublime more than the alienating or disruptive. Further development and refinement of the theme is expected as the project comes together.
